The Arts Council recently examined Culturefox in the context of our commitment to public engagement as prioritised under our strategy Making Great Art Work.
As artists and arts organisations are in recent years using social media and more sophisticated digital platforms to reach potential audiences, the Arts Council has been exploring new and more innovative ways of promoting the work of artists and arts organisations and is currently in discussions on a new partnership.
Culturefox will therefore close on June 1 and affected arts organisations and Culturefox users are being directly informed.
Please note that it is no longer necessary to include Culturefox advertisements in programmes or other promotional materials. The Arts Council website and documentation are in the process of being updated to reflect the Council’s decision.
In the event that your organisation already has a programme or other material in production, it is advisable to replace Culturefox advertisements with other advertisements. If that is not possible, then you may have no option but to carry the Culturefox advertisement. The Arts Council regrets any inconvenience this decision has caused.
If you have any additional queries about this announcement, please visit the questions page on the Culturefox website where Culturefox user queries are addressed.
