Each award and scheme has its own set of guidelines. Within the guidelines document in each case, the process for assessing and adjudicating on applications is set out under Section 3, 'Processing and assessment of applications'. For general information about the Arts Council's mission and overall strategy, we advise that you look at the Arts Council’s ten-year strategy, Making Great Art Work.  

Unsuccessful applicants are not eligible to apply for another Arts Council award to undertake the same activity. If the Arts Council feels that the proposed activity would have been more suited to a different award programme, an exception may be made. In such circumstance you will be informed in writing.
