The deadline for the next round of the Arts Council’s Literature Bursary Award is Thursday, 13 February 2025 at 5.30 pm. The Arts Council offers a Literature Bursary for writers, comic book artists and children’s picture book makers working in either the Irish or English language. 

In advance of the first Bursary deadline of 2025, the Arts Council’s Literature Team (Irish and English language literature) will give two information clinics, outlining the purpose and priorities of the award, how to make an application, and how applications are assessed.

The English-language clinic will be held on Wednesday, 29 January from 12.30 and the Irish-language clinic will be held on Thursday, 30January from 12:30. Both sessions will be held on Zoom. The presentations from the Literature Team should take about 30 minutes, and there will also be time for questions and answers.
